When we remove your braces, we will begin the retention stage of your treatment. You will need to wear your retainers full time for the first two months, then after evaluating your retainer wear, Dr. Walker will have you wear your retainers indefinitely at bedtime. Dr. Walker will want to continue seeing you at follow-up visits for two years to monitor your retainer wear. If at any time the fit of your retainers change please call the office to set up an appointment. Your final orthodontic result depends on your retainers, so follow through with the hard work you’ve put in so far.
